The Onyx at Daily Farm
What is The OnyxThe Onyx is an elevated and unique building used for farm processing and floristry at Daily Farm, an earth-friendly flower and produce farm located in Southern Indiana just outside of Louisville, Kentucky.
❋ Sustainable Structure
The Onyx is powered by solar energy from rooftop solar panels, and collects rainwater for passive garden watering.
❋ Garden Centered
Nestled amongst our flower farm, this elevated structure is surrounded by blooming hedge roses, native wildflowers, and a round rainbow rose garden.
❋ Farm Overlook
Our building is elevated on columns to protect it from floodwaters due to the location of our farm being in a floodplain. An upper deck allows for overlook of our flower farm.
❋ Pavilion & Studio
The ground floor pavilion provides sheltered cover from sun with modern fans and garden seating, while the upstairs contains a florist studio with ample natural light due to large windows and glass garage doors.

Floor One
The Onyx Pavilion
The Onyx Pavilion has an outdoor kitchen and park patio feel with ample seating nestled closely within our rose farm and rose garden; an idealic and intimate setting amongst our farm.
This area will be used to do the processing, packaging, storage of our farm goods – the essential parts of getting produce and flowers to our community. The pavilion will be used to process, wash, and pack flowers and vegetables we sell. We have a double walk-in cooler for cold storage of our grown goods. The other half of the pavilion will have picnic tables for a place to have reprieve from the sun for u-pick and farm visitors.
Floor Two
The Onyx Studio
This elevated architectural design while functional in the way it protects the space from floods, it provides a spectacular overlook of our flower farm and the rolling countryside. The spacious deck overlooks the entire farm with vista views amongst the farm’s many birds and blue skies.
Inside the elevated building is The Onyx Studio with large windows, and two glass garage doors allowing for ample light and open air to flow through the space. It’s a beautiful, intimate space to do floristry with our exquisite flowers, inspire artistic works, and a quiet reflective space.
