Pollinator Friendly

We are pollinator friendly in a variety of ways. First and foremost - we do not and will not use insecticides that are not natural on our farm. We implement natural pest controls that should not harm our beneficial insects.

We don’t have a perfect green lawn at our farm, and we like it that way. We love that we have little wildflowers growing all around our farm. We welcome dandelions and clover and more in our lawn.

We leave areas of unmowed wildflower strips so that we can increase the wildlife habitat around our farm and give the pollinators plenty to eat. The result is a rich biodiversity of native grasses and flowers that come back year after year, including milkweed flower which feeds the monarch butterfly.

Lastly, we have plenty of habitat for bees, including bee hotels and bee hives.
